Australian Voice welcomes contributions from Australian and international authors. We accept original research, theoretical or philosophical articles, forum contributions (such as studio notes, discussion pieces) and book reviews.
Articles must be original and have not been published elsewhere. Please see Aims and Scope for the range of singing-related topics considered for publication by Australian Voice.
Articles should be 4000 – 7000 words, excluding references.
Forum contributions and book reviews should be 1200 -1500 words.
Your manuscript

All submission must be in MS Word format, or other open-source text format.

Australian Voice uses the American Psychological Association (APA) 7 referencing and style system.

British/Australian spelling is preferred. Please see the Macquarie Dictionary for guidance.

Abstracts should be 200-250 words in length and cover the research aim/question, methods, results/findings, and identify the original contribution to singing practice/theory. Abstracts are unstructured (i.e. no headings required) and should not include any citations.
When to submit
Australian Voice welcomes submissions all year-round for publication at the end of each calendar year.
To be considered for the 2023 edition, please submit your article by 30 June, 2023.
How to submit
Please submit:

an anonymous main document; and
-
separate title page with author contact details (including nominating a corresponding author where there are multiple authors) and article title.
